1. Playing poker has become your job. Many junkies are able to make so much money playing Poker that they do not have to find a regular job.
2. While doing other things, you will have your computer with you so you don’t miss a hand. Junkies will play Poker while watching the Super Bowl on television or eating dinner with the family.
3. You play at work. You might not have turned poker into a career so far, but you are making every effort. You play during lunch breaks and any down time available on your office computer.
4. You care more about Poker than other activities or friends. A junkie will decline other invitations, even from girlfriends and/or buddies, in order to play Poker.
5. You gamble the money that you win. A junkie will not save any of money they have won, but just play with it again.
6. You think about it when you should be paying attention to something else. A junkie will be thinking about Poker strategies at inappropriate times, even when his wife is trying to talk to him.
7. You know more about poker than anything else. A junkie may not know what the capital of Missouri is, or the number of ounces in a cup, but knows that you should never wait for the river card for an inside straight.
8. You like to help out other players. Junkies get so excited when they meet other people who share their interest and want to give them advice. They will talk about Poker for hours nonstop.
9. You cannot remember what else you did during the day. A real junkie cannot think of anything else they did besides playing Poker when they reflect on the day.
10. You get up early or stay up late to play. You are a junkie if you rearrange your schedule and omit sleep in order to play Poker.
